Has anyone tried replacing the opamps for the outputs with something higher spec’ed ? The lm49720 is a drop in replacement with vastly superior performance and is considered among the best sounding ic’s around. The muses02 also matches perfectly. If there’s enough interest I may produce my own pcb to replace the jack pcb with the goal of lower noise and better snr. I’m curious if anyone knows of any attempts to do so before I start hacking away.
