Hey all!
I am continuing the work under my wave shaper. I can't describe it wholly here, but it's main concept is that you have several base function types (sine, lo-fi sine, rectified sine, etc.) that are then used in several FM-like waveshaping algorithms - thus you have many effect variations plus realtime shape control.
All parameters are smoothened in realtime, and I am now implementing an LFO generator to modulate the waveshape.
Here is a preview of simple, only sine-based sounds routed into it:

Sounds cool
Why not make a VSTi for windows?

Re: My Audio Unit mp3 preview
Sorry, I do not think I will ever program for Windows, let alone using it
Re: My Audio Unit mp3 preview
Whoaa
You hate windows that much..
Vista is coming out soon...
That surely you must want

Re: My Audio Unit mp3 preview
No, trix, I never hate anything, because hate takes a lot of energy. I'd rather spend this energy for creating something good.
Regarding Windows - guys, I am sorry, but I do not know how you cope with it's awfully ridiculous weakness, both on system (viruses, crashes, etc.) and user interface levels. I used Linux for four years, then switched to Mac and I see no reason not to call it the perfect environment for anyone, be you a programmer, web surfer, musician, engineer or graphic artist. There are *way too many* things which make your life easier.
As about Vista - again, sorry, what Vista will have was already there in Macs a couple years ago. Apple is coming with Leopard this year, and we will see

Art --3 questions
Art I'm a bit confused as to what you would use a wave shaper for?
Is it for the Mac platform?
Did you have to buy a soundcard for your dual core Mac or is the internal one a gem?

"Art I'm a bit confused as to what you would use a wave shaper for? "
To create new complex, interesting and fat synth sounds out of very simple ones.
"Is it for the Mac platform?"
Yes but also a LADSPA version is planned for Linux and Windows (no VST sorry).
"Did you have to buy a soundcard for your dual core Mac or is the internal one a gem?"
The internal one does just fine if you do not need to record anything. It is perfect for headphones, no noise and clear sound in my AKG 271's. For recording I use Edirol R-1 but I do plan getting an audio interface on day.
