Hey all!
Just wanted to inform everybody that, finally, I am about to create my very own synthesizer! I can't share too much details now, but it's going to be a "hybrid", i.e. a synthesizer and effects processor.
In a nutshell, it's a synthesizer with a spacious stereo sound and a flexible step sequencer, that will be able to react to and interact with the incoming audio in many interesting ways. This is something I am working on to be delivered soon in an Audio Unit effect for Mac OS X, and here you can get a glimpse of what it will be able to do with a single drum loop.
Demo 1: synthesizer triggered by audio

Very cool Art! I like the demos. I'm curious to see the final product too.
By the way, those m4a files download as text files from the server (I'm sure the server is not configured with the correct MIME types for .m4a files). By removing the .txt from the files once downloaded, they played just fine though.

Thanks Nathan! Good note on the MIME type, gonna fix that now!

Done! Safari now embeds QuickTime in it's window to play that file.

No VST, Artemio?

Sorry, the last time I "seriously" used Windows was about 5 years ago.
