Hey all Mac users and wannabes
Just upgraded to iLife '08 which has GarageBand 4, and damn, it's really amazing how much new stuff there is. What they've added makes GB a really great workstation: there are no MIDI tracks, only audio and software instruments, but damn you get virtually unlimited number of them, as much as your Mac can chew.
What's new in version 4:
- 24 bit audio
- loop record overdubbing
- visual EQ with spectrum analyzer per track (!)
- 4 plug-in effects per track (!!)
- software synths and effects plug-in parameter automation
- new and updated built-in plug-ins
- auto normalize for project audio file export
- built-in CD burning
All this for $79 or free with all new Macs. I am going to cry now, what a wonderful world we're living in
Artemiy.
