Thanks cgreene, this software is stunning!

Here is some more detailed info:

It seems that the only miracle it can't perform is separating two instruments that are playing the same pitch at the same time.

Looks pretty twisted to me. Just curious about the use of this. How would you guys benefit using this in your studios?

According to the link I posted above:
Direct Note Access recognizes notes in their harmonic and temporal contexts. It cannot detect which instrument has played which note.
IMHO:
It can't automatically split different instruments since it can't recognize specific instruments. However, you could select notes by pitch range and--as long as your instruments don't overlap each other in pitch--separate them.

hmmm sounds interesting...
However, it would be a LOT of work to split a song in tracks again... =(

I think this is actually better used with single instruments that way the only thing the software has to worry about is the notes...If you have more than one instruments I can see it running into problems....but if you play any chord or lead with a nice rhythm lick with any single intrument, this can do wonders...Next step above variphrase...

It would have been nice if variphrase would have evolved like this in V-synthGT...that would have been a worthy upgrade over the XT...
