E-mu soundcard users: check out SOS

Post by Hugo »

If you own one of the new E-mu soundcards, check out the November issue of Sound-On-Sound. It describes the patchmixer in a very insightful, yet easy-to-understand way.

yeah- I've been meaning to get a hold of that issue- I've read excerpts from it on the unofficial emu forum (www.productionforums.com)... it gets pretty in depth, anybody who owns this card begginer or not really should check it out.

No problem. I'm one of those who found the patchmixer difficult to understand, so now I finally can enjoy the soundcard to its fullest :)
One thing I haven't found out yet, is wether it's possible to assign filters to the inputs and tweak the filters in realtime.
Anyone know?

A filter like an effect?

I would say yes you can.

Well, the Emulator X includes something like 50+ different filters, but I think these aren't regarded as 'effects' per se.
I will have to look further into it.
