ok,
from my experience with vst integrated software sequencers like fruity loops, ableton, etc...I find that my cpu meter is constantly being bogged down...you know, I get clicks, pops and other strange noises from using too much vsti or audio recordings...
I'm running a:
Intel Pentium M processor 1.86GHz
512 MB of RAM
Realtek AC97 Audio
Directx 9.0c
hmmm...I think I have a pretty decent/ok setup (computer)...but why does my cpu meter drain so fast?
can anyone suggest me a possible solution or recommend me some sort of hardware to deal with cpu drainage? will an audio interface or mixer do the trick?
thanks
cpu drainage problem....
Re: cpu drainage problem....
Fantomized section is not the place for these arguments...BTW...you need 1GBRam and a better sound card I suppose. Anyway 1.8GHz isn't a good CPU for A LOT of VST.
Tip: Don't use too much the VST technology...go on Hardware stuff...

Re: cpu drainage problem....
it's all about what vst you use, some like a little bass synth could take up 5% of your cpu, where as one reverb unit could take 80%. so what are you using? in more detail.
