Hi,

Any suggestions for a CAD like software to keep track of all connections, devices and signal flow in a music studio?

One can of course use pen and paper but...

There is a vector drawing editor Inkscape which is freeware: http://inkscape.org/, works on OS X, Windows and Linux. It's nice and I used it a lot. Still use it today but for some tasks I switched to Apple's Pages - look at this one if you're on a Mac.
