VST host

hi,

I am trying to make a live synth setup using laptop. No sequencing no automation needed, just to be able to use a few vst softsynths together on different channels and change the presets and the patches manually on the fly with midi messages. I researched some but didn't find anything really suitable (KORE should do what it says but I heard lot of bad things about it). Could you please advise ?
