Is there any software programs for computers that keyboard players can use in their live performances i.e. changing presets and sounds and the likes? I've seen a few pros i.e. Johnathan Cain from Journey use a laptop on stage to what looks like change presets on a prearranged list????
Thanks Tim

Re: Keyboards and laptops
Hey Tim:
You might have some success with a garden-varitey sequencer, like Pro Tools or Cubase. I can set things up in Cubase easily so that I can have sounds all set up to go on-the-fly, although I typically just record one part at a time.
You might investigate Pro Tools though, because they might have better ways to group tracks together than Cubase does. Cubase probably would be just fine, but I don't rightly know since, like I said, I am more of your average "my sequencer is my canvas" sort of dude. Anyway, I think that you can find a relatively inexpensive sequencer on the market that will let you do what you are looking for.
