VirSyn Poseidon softsynth . . .

Well, after buying a boatload of hardware synths, I picked up a copy of the current issue of Sound on Sound, and read all about VirSyn's new Poseidon product. It sound real cool. It can do formant-shifting like the V-Synth/GT can. But it's a terribly interesting read if anyone wants to pick up a copy. It's not really wavetable-based, and it's not really granular-based, but it's something pretty cool. Sounds like this would be great for soundscape design. If I were to buy one softsynth, this may be it.

Oh, the article is online (see link, below), but you have to register or something to read the whole thing. I just bought the magazine.
