FP5 DIY Repair

Post by Horatio Parker »

I love my FP5, but after eight years a dozen or so notes only sound intermittently. Being broke at this time, I decided to try my hand at DIY.

The cover and keys are off, and over the circuit board with it's velocity sensors is a plastic housing, in sections of about an octave, into which fit the counterweights and keys. There are screws which I've removed, but it appears to be somehow attached to the sheet metal underneath. Obviously, I'm reluctant to apply to much pressure.

Anyone here know how this assembly works?

Thanks....
