juno stage/gw8 can any 1 tell me how to use solo fnction

so problem is, how to work the mono/solo function on the gw8/juno stage, ? the manuels are useless, all it says is hold down the solo button and press the curser to some parameter, 1st thing is, it neglets telling you when to stop holding down, as the manuel says, you can use the gw8/juno stage, as a 2 osc mono/solo synth , [with all the normal synth editable perameters ], the manuel lists all the available parameters for the mono/solo synth ,[ not availabe in normal poly mode] but how do you accsess it properly, and how do you save it ? and to what memory location ? no were in the manuel does it give this imformation ? , if some one can give me an "idiot proof" exact instructions in what to do/what im missing would be greatly appreatiated as i would love to make full use of both of these great keyboards.which i have had both for around 6 - 7 years cheers
