Roland goes Giga,,,,

Post by dkpcola »

Check out this spec...
http://www.roland.com/products/en/E-80/specs.html

It said Wave ROM memory is 1 Gbit..
Its PCMCIA port can handle up to 4Gb of data too.

Did they start new lines of synth engine already?

I guess 1 Gbit is 1/8 Gb, that is only 128 Mb. Nothing to drool at actually. =)

Guys,
this E line keyboards is the new arranger line from Roland. The E-80 is basically a G-70 with speakers. This is NOT a new sinth line.
The floppy drive actually is a good feature,at least in my country, since there is still a lot of music entertainers using a floppy based music style library. Any way, like dkpcola says, there is a PCcard slot so you can use large storage media.
