MV-30 Studio M

Post by Osella »

Hi there,

I'm new here and have recently unearthed an MV-30 I forgot I had.
Seems to work fine so far, but won't read either PCM card.
Or at least I can't find their sounds listed and cannot play them.
I've a manual on pdf but that just says the cards are 'automatically detected' but it lists no more sounds
with them plugged in than when they're absent.
Is this a common problem? Nothing is obviously amiss.

Thanks for any help or advice

Hi Osella!

I'm new here, and expect you've figured this out by now, but I found that when a card on my MV-30 wasn't recognized, rebooting the system and then scrolling through sources to the (last) number on the card, the sounds would show up. For example, Orchestral Strings is SN-U110-05. To open those sounds I'd scroll past the internal timber sources and up to the number 5.

I still love the MV-30, and joined this forum to ask about availability of sounds from within its timbre banks on the Fantom 8.

Cheers!
