SPD-30 Octapad headphone jack clipping?

Hi,

I've been playing along with drumless tracks on youtube, and I've been getting clipping / distortion out of the headphone jack it seems when I hit the pads too hard? I also play along with the computer running thru the Mix jack and when theres a lot of activity / sound happening even the Youtube starts clipping / cutting out.

has anyone had issues with sound coming out of the headphone jack before?
