Roland System-500 Ridiculous Pricing

Sorry in advance to be whining on here again, but the System-500 prices seem ridiculous. These are standard modules based on Rolands own circuitry. In Australia the price for these is about $3500.

So How can:

Moog make and sell FOUR Moog Mother-32 Tabletops for this price?

Yes these are semi-modular, but so is an ARP 2600.

OR

Korg make and sell FIFTEEN Volcas for this price?

There are a lot more exmples like this. And let's be serious Roland is not a small modular maker trying to get back their money on a few modules. They have the manufacturing capabilities that only major players have. There is no way that Roland's cost on these in anyway justifies this pricing.
