Roland bk-7m question

Post by yoyoyojo »

Borrowing a friend's BK-7m. What I do not get is this ...

I own a Roland/Boss Dr Rythm 880. On that machine you can create chord progressions using the existing song patterns. You could either us a preset chord progression or make your own custom chord progression. It's great for composing quick backing tracks.

On the BK-7 however it does not seem to offer that functionality. It looks like the machine is set up to back you up on the fly, i.e. live, where it guesses your chords as you play. While this is fine and good it does do much for me. I rather be able to quickly create/compose chord progressions directly on the machine for practice/lesson purposes similar to how I do it on the DR 880.

Can anyone tell me if the BK-7 support the ability to create chord progressions directly on the machien with the use of an attached instrument?

Thanks in advance.
