Roland accordian FR-7 NEED HELP

dont know if anyone can help here. but i bought a used roland fr7 accordian today at an auction . it came with the v accordion fbc-7 power supply/ charger. the accordian itself has no battery in it but if im reading the user manual correctly i should be able to just hook up the fbc-7 power supply and be able to turn it on and play it. problem is when i hook up the power supply and push the power button on the accordian the power button comes on monetarily on a blue color and makes a click noise then it just shuts off . the lcd screen never powers on eithier .... am i missing something here or does this unit need work ?

It could be this: On the back, there is apartment for battery. Battery cover has two screws. One of the screws work like security switch (it press switch inside), so if the screw is out, accordion will not start. Try to screw it in and then power on accordion.
