TR-8S : Recorde sequences of notes using external midi keybo

Hi there,
Using FM synthesis It is possible to séquence notes to make melodies using TR-8S.
To so that, you have to tr rec your beat and then use coarse tune or tune parameter for each step you recorded to set the right note.
If Roland could make an update so that It can concert midi notes and set step coarse tune or tune directly or would be a killer feature!
Anyone know if this feature already exists?
