Roland SH-4d have very limited multitimbrality

Post by smpn1980 »

I'd like to hear from other Roland SH-4d users what is their experience with SH-4d multitimbrality. Due pretty limited onboard sequencer I decided to use Elektron Digitakt as main sequencer, but it seems that SH-4d is not usable as multitimbral synth in this scenario (in MIDI implementation chart is mostly MODE 3, which means that SH-4d is answering just to 1 channel). Maybe I am wrong (I hope), because otherwise it's useless. What is your experience? Thanks a lot.

Really? That would be a dealbreaker. It’s strange that the SH-4D doesn’t have its own forum/topic here on Roland Clan...

there is no multitrimbality issue with the SH4d ... mine is hooked with my Fantom ... with four zones dedicated to the four parts of the SH4D ... and everything works perfectly 👍🏻

Thanks. That’s good to hear. Probably I will buy it when it’s available again.
