VS2480 Roland RPC-and-Delta1010 song time issue?

Hi, I’ve got a Roland VS2480 and using an RPC bus to connect to my windows XP machine which uses an M-Audio Delta 1010.
When ever I hit record in logic 5.5 the time that was set in the audio recording path dialog (key-a) is reduced.
For example: if I had set Maximum recording time to 10 mins, when I start recording it will be at something like 8 min, then if I hit stop and start again it will be at something like 4 min. the time decreases every time I stop the recording and restart. Roland support believes it’s something to do with the M-Audio, but M-Audio believes it’s a conflict between two cards that are working very similarly. But neither of them knows.

This issue started when I put in the RPC card. I’ve tried shutting off the com ports in the bios and that did free up and reallocate some IRQs but it did not fix the issue. Could this be something in windows XP or something to do with the file system which is NTFS?

Any options would be greatly appreciated
