Edirol PC-50 Modulation thru Expression Pedal

Does anyone know if you can assign the expression pedal to control modulation or aftertouch on the Edirol PC-50? The manual just says you can control volume or tone and it doesn't tell you how to select one or the other....I was hoping you could assign it to any MIDI parameter. Help me out??????
