I've been wanting to get a DIF-AT24 to port my XV-5080 into my DAW. They seem hard to find.
Recently I've come across some older DIF-ATs for sale online. I understand they are 20bit (although some report them as 16 bit).
I don't really need the extra midi port as I won't be using a Roland mixer.
Any opinions as to why I shouldn't get the AT ... or should hold out for an AT24?
Thanks ...

1/3 rackmount audio interface converts Roland’s 8-channel R-BUS format to ADAT
- Supports up to eight channels of 24-bit I/O via optical connections
- MIDI In/Out for synchronized recording between V-Studio and ADAT/PC
- MIDI Out port can be used to expand MV-8000’s MIDI output channels
- Selectable master clock: R-BUS or ADAT
- No power supply needed—receives power through R-BUS cable
24-bit I/O !!!!!!!!!

The DIF-AT converts signals between R-BUS and ADAT/Tascam for up to eight channels of simultaneous digital I/O in a 1/3U rackmount box. This interface is the perfect solution for VS-2480 and V-Mixer owners who wish to integrate their system with other professional equipment using these formats.
Converts signals between R-BUS and ADAT lightpipe or Tascam T-DIF formats
Handles 8-in/8-out digital audio
1/3 rackmount size
Includes ADAT Sync connector
* Note that all trademarks are property of their respective owners.
So it must be the old ADAT system, where, if you use 24bit, it can only send 4ch, not 8.
