Octa Capture UA-1010: USB connection dead?

My Octa Capture UA-1010 was working properly on my MacBook pro till last week, but now it isn't recognised by my laptop. I reinstalled the driver, tried a different usb cable and install/connect it on a Mac Pro but the problem still exists. It still works in stand-alone mode, is the USB connection damaged?
