Has anyone programmed the DR-880 to record the kick and snare on separate tracks, in the studio?

I owned a DR-880 a few years back and I don't think there is a way in the DR-880 to do that, as a specific Program is a kind of phrase whose pattern is output via the same MIDI channel ansd you can't output individual drum instruments via different MIDI channels.
What you can do is to record the MIDI pattern to your DAW and then expand the MIDI track to two (or more) tracks based on the Pitch, provided your DAW has that feature.
