Edirol M-16DX on Mac OS X Catalina

Hey there,

Has anyone managed to get this mixer working with a modern Mac? I can't seem to get my Mac to recognise the device. here's what I've tried:

1. Installed the OS X Mavericks driver. Install worked, I now have an extra preferences pane in the preferences section of OS X. But the device is never recognised.
2. Tried to install the latest firmware (v2) but I don't know how to do it. I've downloaded the [https://www.roland.com/us/support/by_pr ... 4f1ca5541/]UPD SMF Update Application[/url], however the mixer doesn't show up as a midi device.

I really don't know what else to do... is it even possible, or should I just cut my losses, sell this mixer and buy something like a Zoom LiveTrak L-12 and be done with it?
