VS2000CD Won't Boot Up

First time poster. I have a Roland VS2000CD that wont complete bootup. It hangs up saying that it is setting up the vs8f-2. That should be a effects board that is optional. My unit does not have any of the optional boards installed. So it sounds like it is trying to setup a board that does not exist. I have removed the hard drive and backed it up. Formatted and reinstalled. Tried the holding down the fx2 and track 4 button and it does nothing. Has anyone heard of this happening ? Do you have any ideas on how to fix it ? Seems no one is able to answer my question. Does anyone know of a Roland service center I can send it to that may be willing to try and work on it ?
