Help with Cubase and the SH-201

Post by Ashaneen »

Is anyone familiar with using the SH-201 (or any other synth) with Cubase?
I have a few things that I am trying to do with my new Roland, and I'm not sure if Cubase will do it.
I'm trying to get the output sound to route through the SH-201's USB and into Cubase (similar to a VST).
I know everything is set up correctly with the correct drivers installed. The SH-201 works great as a MIDI controller, and I can trigger other vst's with it, but I didn't spend $500 for a Roland controller, that's what M-audio's products are for. So, I'm not sure if it's possible to do with Cubase. One of the features claimed by Roland of the SH-201 is the ability to route the audio through the USB. I was able to do this, but only from my laptop To the SH-201, not the other way around. I put a few calls into Roland Help and the result was in essence "if you were using 'Sonar' we could tell you exactly how to do it."
If anyone can offer some advice, I would appreciate it.
