Hi,
does anyone know how to sync the arp from the sh201 to an external audio player (audio. backing tracks) and is their any gear that I would need to do this with. I was thinking about using a dj cd player with midi out/or a older mac laptop? would that work? any suggestions/ and how should i go about doing this?

I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to do here. I have a SH-201 and a PC with lots of VST software. Are you talking about simply using the SH-201 as a MIDI controller to play the arp's stored in the soundbank patches to trigger notes on an instrument with MIDI in?
If you have a MAC, you could easily use the SH-201 to control VST's in Logic through the USB cable (Cubase would act as the MIDI clock to "sync" with the synth).
