ASIO4ALL with SH-201

For those who may be interested, there is a problem with using the SH-201 audio driver with a DAW. Direct monitoring is always on, so when recording thru USB in to a DAW you get to hear both the direct monitored version and the audio in on your DAW.

There is a work around....

Unfortunately you have to have another audio card. Use the ASIO4ALL universal driver as this works perfectly well with the SH-201. This driver supports multiple audio cards beautifully whereas software in DAWs, such as Cubase, only allow 1 audio card. So use the mutiple channels/cards that can be taken thru ASIO4ALL and you are on to a winner. I have it workin with my Edirol and M-Audio interfaces and they are quite excelent. With no conflict.

For note...Roland don't quote the USB spec. I did a SIS Sandra system check on their interface and it works from USB1.1 at the Full speed ie. 12MBS. ASIO4ALL brings it in as 32bits.
