strange problem

I use cubase sx 3, i play very well with sh201 for a lot of minutes, but, to a certain moment, the signal doesn't enter midi anymore in cubase, even if the peripheral sh201 is still seen by the operating system (winxpprosp3), to make to reenter the signal midi in cubase, I have to turn off and turn on the power the sh201, or disconnect usb and riconnect.
at times sound with cubase and the sh201, everything then I save well the project, I close cubase, I reopen cubase, and the signal doesn't enter midi anymore in, I have here also to disconnect usb and riconnect, or turn off and turn on the sh201 power...

it's a sh201 problem?
usb motherboard (asus p5k) problem?
or win xp problem?

thank you! I have read all the solutions, but my specific case doesn't appear, besides I have win xp sp3... while the solutions on the site are for sp1 and sp2.

is it possible that is a problem of length of the cable (3 m) ?

i have another midi master keyboard non usb, and it works fine, no problems

i have anther usb midi controller (uc-16), and it works fine, ever had usb or midi problems

then I believe that my sh201 has some problem... I will bring it to the roland assistance centre.
