My Roland SH-201 Talking

Post by Oliver Davis »

I have been messing about with my SH-201 back in the studio and getting under the hood of the Ring Modulator, Feedback Oscillators and syncing them together to create some interesting voice effects.

The key behind it is modulating the PulseWidth and pitch of both OSCs with a random LFO waveform : )

Be aware the results are Evil!

I will also be uploading videos of each bank of my custom set.

The set is now complete and all 4 banks are full!

Oh wow, very cool effect you have created there! Kind of alien opera ;-) Thanks a lot for sharing. Will put this one in the news now.

Those are some interesting sounds. They do sound like distorted human voices, though the first one is scary.
