Really new to synthesis... need some help

Post by TheRefinery »

Hey folks, I got an SH-201 a while ago and I'm totally new to synthesis. My big question is, how do I take a bank and totally clear it (no filters, no LFO's, no FX), so that I just have a basic sine wave where top and bottom halves of the bank sound identical and totally unadulterated?

any help would be great, thanks guys!

You can clear a single patch by holding down CANCEL and pressing WRITE. Then you can WRITE this clear patch to the memory, and then either from the SH-201 itself or using it's Librarian software you can save this patch over to all 32 locations.

I think you mean unaltered, but we'll need Grammar Wombat to confirm.

Preset D-8 is also an INIT PATCH.

Oh LMAO!!!

"unadulterated" sounds really cool! We HAVE TO add this to our vocabulary! How about "unadulterated sheep"? :-D

'Grammar' is away on vacation right now, and has asked me to temporarily handle his duties! Poor little guy; seems he's corrected one ambitransitive verb too many! Dbijoux is correct! 'Unaltered' would be a significant improvement to that statement.

Well... unadulterated sheep is a concept related to the Sheep Vocoder ARX card. Art knows exactly what I'm talking about. It's some sort of Patch Initialize -))
