How to disconnect the 201 and editor from computer?

I recently began using a 201 and imported new patches with success. However, I think i just turned off the synth or unplugged the USB and continued to turn off the editor and library. So next time I tried to turn on the editor it would appear for a brief second and then close out. I am guessing this has something to do with the way I closed down. I read the manuals and nothing mentions unplugging and turning it off, just connecting it.

I don't think there is a wrong way to turn it off when plugged into the computer. Many times I have turned mine off in various ways when plugged in. Midi and powered off, usb and powered off, closed editor, etc. never had that problem. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the editor and or drivers??

If you are on Windows.
Try to desinstall the Editor, use CCleaner to clean your register and install the Editor.

(5 years later :) )
I have the same problem. The only solution is for me to kill the process from the task manager. Maube in the future I will find a trick, but my SH-201 is new and I only managed to link the SH to Windows 10 via USB yesterday !
