Sonic Cell file number increase update

Post by miden »

Good news!! My Roland guy in Australia has advised Roland have released version 1.10 which changes the number of files to 394 I think he said, or 396, in any case 390 something.
He has kindly sent me the update so I will let you know how it goes.
Apparently Roland are to post this online pretty soon.

Hi Tom,
We may have to hold off a couple of more days. I loaded 1.10 but it still only recognised the 99 files. DAMN...I spoke with my guy at Roland and he replied that Roand were now aware of this and version 1.11 is being released in a couple of days which will FIX it, plus it will also have the updated playlist editor as well.
So we are heading in the right direction!!

Just an update.. Got version 1.11 and loaded it..Still nothing. It still only recognises 99 of the 150 files I placed in the root.

I also tried re-formatting the thumbdrive on the Sonic Cell, which as you know also creates a new directory called Playlist Library.

I tried to move the 150 files to this directory.
When I tried to load a song from this directory the Sonic Cell reported it as empty??
Sooo somehting still not quite right..

I suspect it will have to be done with the Playlist Editor version 1.11 which he still has not received from Japan as yet.

One good thing is the load time for the USB stick has been reduced to only about 10 seconds as compared to the nearly 90 seconds previously when it had 99 files on it.

Don't know if this has affected anyone else, but it did affect mine.
Cheers
