Folks,
The rumor and video leak turns out to be fact.
You can download the new editor right now.

Well, it works great- except I am just not a knob tweaker. So, if anyone gets the itch- can you create a bunch of presets and post- I am curious as to how much sound can be made out of this- I know Artemiy could just kill this if he had a Sonic Cell.

editor developments

Post by rcraven »

One of the big things that I noticed is that in both the SC editors you can hover over the control and use the mouse wheel to change the setting. Absolutely great.

I can't do it on the FantomX editor.

Can the controls be changed by an external controller like a real VST synth? That would be fantastic to have real time control.
Midi CC to SC sysex shouldn't be too hard.

Anyone here have any influence with Roland? It would be great if they released the editor software, at least for their older synths, to the open source community. They obviously aren't going to develop the XV, Fantom S and X.

Artemiy, any clues on who to contact about this?

Thanks
Royce

I don't understand.
I am only running XP SP2 and it installed for me.
I wonder if it is .Net stuff it needs?

I wonder if this could be the reason behind the price hike I've noticed... as I'm about to announce in a new thread...
