sustain pedal

I control my SC with an ancient Technics PX7 but the sustain pedal doesn't sustain. I've wired up to a Roland keyboard and it's just the same. The manual (for an idiot like me) is utterly baffling and doesn't even mention or even attempt to describe how you go about enabling or disabling a sustain pedal. Can anyone help?

wow- sounds like the keyboard doesn't transmit sustain on/off via midi (that just can't be can it?).

I use my Roland A30 with a Roland sustain pedal and SonicCell. Everything works like it should. I had to enable sustain on the MIDI keyboard with MIDI parameter 22 sustain on. Please check your documentation on how to set that parameter on your keyboard. It surely works, it is juts a matter of finding the right settings!
