Do i need a preamp to record vocal through sonccell?

i am going to get a mic to record vocal mainly.
do i need a preamp to record good quality vocal?

i haven't used the mic-in much, but as far as i've heard, the preamp in the soniccell isn't bad and you have phantom power as well, so you should be fine. if you really feel the urge to use a dedicated preamp, you can still buy it later.
