SMF Player stops in the middle of songs
My SonicCell randomly stops playing during the middle of songs using the SMF player. My USB stick is formatted with the SonicCell. I use the Playlist Editor to make the Song list using MIDI 0 for the songs. I am using 1.20 SonicCell operating system. It will stop playing, and the USB stick, and playlist is not available to load the songs. I then have to reboot. Any help would be appreciated.

wow- that is a new one.
1. Does it die at the same point in a song or is it random
2. Are you running the SC on it's own and not connected via USB to a computer
3. Have you tried a different USB key and get the exact same issue
4. Have you tired to do a re-firmware update (you never know, it might work)
5. Is the power plug giving good power (no brown outs, no dimming lights when a washer/dryer/iron goes on at the same time you are playing)
6. Will it only die with SMF and not with audio files on a USB key?
Just some ideas.

After trying a few different USB Flash drives. I finally found one that works. I ended up using an old CF 256 MB card and a small card reader. It works great. Not really the recommended Roland setup... but what the heck, it works.
