having problems saving edited midi files

Post by clintsarm »

hi to all,

i just bought my sonic cell 3 days ago and im having trouble trying to figure out how to save my edited midi files. Im using Sonar le and the sonic cell editor. I am able to import midis and change the patches but aint no success in saving them. Whenever i save edited midis it goes back to the old file with the old patches. I have looked online..here and there for solutions..still none.

Can anyone help me with this? Can someone give me the steps on how? Im really new at this and would really appreciate your help.

Thanks

Definately go to Roland.com and view the training PDFs on how to work with the SC and Sonar. You can also find them at the Sonar User Group at Yahoo groups.
Check to make sure that there is no sysex code on any track reverting back to the original patches.

Sorry- I switched complete to Mac so I can't help. But, do a search in Windows Explorer and you will find where the rest of the .ins files are located (I recall they are in the Cakewalk directory somewhere- I know- like that was a hard one to figure out).
