Ok, so it's sounding bad on the main outs too.
Clearly poorly (as am I at the moment).

I wouldn't go spraying, but you could try spraying some on the plugs, and then inserting them into the SonicCell's sockets.
I think it's something to do with the volume control, but to get any 'magic spray' in there it will need to be taken apart.
It does sound as if something happened whilst in storage, if it all worked fine before.

Maybe ghosts..... But no, no rats or damp. It was in the box in a dry cupboard. I'm just kinda pissed that it's not working for no reason. Just have to put it down to experience.

It sounds like a volume issue but it's the massive reverb that confuses me. Never mind. Thanks S-E-A all the same

one question- does it sound bad if you route the synth back through the USB audio (and not use the external outputs at all)?

I'll have to try that, haven't used it like that yet
