help info

Hi again all
just wondering its been some times since last asked a question.
i have sonic cell and the program i am using is sonar le 6
for some reason my record button on audio wont activate
it does active on a midi file, i have searched tryin to figure it out
i am tryin to record the buttons are there but arent letting me activate and are a pale color >>>>> i hope i have given enuff info
