Yes, no worries mate the engines are the same and you could even say the Sonic Cell is better with 24bit A/D-D/A sampling.

Sampling on the SonicCell ??? you must be dreaming dbijoux ;-) I wish...

In fact the SonicCell has a very similar Synth Engine to the Fantom X, but let's say that it is a Fantom without:
- does not accept Samples as Patch waveforms :-(
- there is no Sampler
- no Sequencer
- no RPS
- no Real time Control knobs
- no PADs
- no D-Beam
- no Keyboard (LoL)

But in turn it has:
- 64 User Performances + 64 Preset Performances
- 256 USER Patches + 896 Preset Patches
- 32 USER Rhythm Sets + 32 Preset Rhythm Sets
- 256 GM Patches + 9 GM Rhythm Sets
- 2x SRX Expansion Slots
- A WAV/MP3/MIDI Player w/Playlist Editor for Backing Tracks
- Supports USB AUDIO (can be used as a Sound Card)
- It accepts Analog and USB AUDIO and can process it (at the same time) through the INPUT Processor and Through the MFX3 processor (Performance Mode ONLY), which gives an extra 78 Effects that can be applyed to the INPUT sound. The SonicCell can be used as an External Sound Processor on its own. Neither the Fantom X or the G can do this...

Cheers,
PauloF
