Hi
Does anyone have the midi files playing some patches in the SC and some in other sound modules/synths
Is it as simpke as having the external sound module or synth set o the midi channel that you have the respective midi info on?
Eg. say i have drums, bass and strings on ch 1,2 & 3 playing sounds in the SC. Can i hav the info on track 4 playing a sound on say the Roland gaia or the new M Audio Venom?
Cheers
Alan

Re: SC playing other sound modules
Alan,
edit the SC Performance so that Track 4 (or any other tracks set to Midi Channel 4) is turned off or the Midi channel changed to another channel.
In the PC editor...........
Mode PERFORM
Perform MIDI
Track 4 - RCV MIDI off
Connect the Midi Out from the SC to your Gaia and set the input channel on the Gaia to 4

Thanks Royce
I'm nearly there
Bought the AX, but the whole guitar synth is not for me so that's going on ebay haha
Gonna check out the GAIA this week before buying

Re: SC playing other sound modules
Good or bad Paolo?
Re: SC playing other sound modules
Nothing against GAIA no, I even would like to have one myself, just wanted to stress out that we always should check these babies carefully before buying. I'm just saying this as quite often we see guys buying and immediately complaining about something that the board doesn't do, but they didn't care to check before...DEVO-UK wrote:Good or bad Paolo?
They just buy by impulse, not by rationalizing. ;-)
Re: SC playing other sound modules
Viewing one tomorrow
I like the fack tht there is a GM bank so you can assign a midi track from the SC and play along on the main keyboard
Its the quality of sounds Im concerned about
I've been looking into this M-Audio Venom but you simpky cannot get any info from the companyor find a deaker who xan demo one
It amazes me how poorly these companys promote their products.

My dear DEVO-UK, would you please move your computer keyboard slightly to the left, or your fingers slightly to the right?DEVO-UK wrote:…you simpky cannot get any info from the company or find a deaker who xan demo one…
