Hey!

The input (L) of my Sonic Cell appears to be broken. Everything sounds distorted and very high pitched out of it. It broke kind of gradually and if you move the cable around it may temporarily work.

How should I go about fixing this? Should I open the sonic cell and see if everything looks ok or is this fault more than a poor connection issue?

If the warranty expired, yes, you can open it and check for bad contacts or dead soldering points.
Take the opportunity to use a contact cleaner too
