Hi secret Roland Agent, Thanks!
Actually I think we make a real nice team. But, sorry, I ALWAYS do the driving. Also, yes, I'm short but not so short as your [deleted by secret Roland agent].

I'm not sure why I felt it necessary to delete the word 'temper'! I don't know what came over me. I've been a little irritable and jumpy lately. It must be YOUR driving skills!

Yes, I'm sorry, I know that my driving has that effect on people. But you are a trained secret Roland agent. You MUST not be affected.

Well... I said I might buy the GX... however, I've seen the FX has been made available at an even cheaper price so I can get the 8 version at the same price as the GX is marketed right now (around 2000 E). Although I might miss the new keyboard feel, I think an all-inclusive sequencing solution at this price is hard to beat (the 61 keys version is at about 1500 E). I think Pianknowguy has tested both the new PHA II keyboard and the older Fantom X8 keyboard - so he can tell us the overall improvements. One more thing to know - is the escapement feature of the new GX something to take into consideration? Thanks in advance for the information.

Hi Parsifal
If you're really into piano feel, nothing can beat the PHAII "Ivory Feel" with Escapement. The "Ivory Feel" is one of the MAIN reasons (among all the others) why I'm trading my X8 for a G8. The "escapement" is not there (only in the RD series) but the diference in the touch is enough to consider the GX if you don't mind loosing all the rest. If you asked ME I would say for you to go for the Fantom as you'd still get an EXCELENT piano action.

1st off, it does not have a large enough screen for the graphics, but they did include the sounds from the ARX-02.

What's more, the RD is so heavy already...man...anymore added features and you would have to reinforce your floor boards! :-)

Why is this thread still at the Fantom-G section? Moving this to "Other Roland Gear".
