I have a roland vk-7 and i need to replace the power switch. I also have a rd 700 and a roland v88 and i noticed that most of rolands keyboards have the same switch.
My question is how to i change it ? Do i just pull it and pop it out and replace it or do i have to open up the keyboard? thanks

usually the leads are soldered to the back of the switch, they don't really leave much length in the wiring harness, certainly not enough to be replaced without opening the instrument.
Cheers, Hanon

^ +1 it is not overly difficult to do but one will need some level of working with electronics.
i would swap mine out myself if mine went bad. :)

I agree with Kenchan (though not the first time..he he). I replaced the switch myself on my X6 recently and it was easy although I did have to open the casing. Also, If I recall correctly, there was nothing to solder to the switch as it was connected with screws.
