Usability of controls during live playing

Post by dalemmi »

Hi everyone,
is there any way of changing the behavior of the layer control sliders? I would like to adjust the volume of individual layers smoothly while playing. If a layer is saved with low volume and the volume control slider is in max-position when selecting the Live Set, the slightest move of the slider will make the background sound jump right into your face. I would prefer a function where the slider doesn't change anything until it has reached the programmed/saved level and take over smootly from there.
Could this be adressed to Roland or is there any solution for this issue already?

Of course it could be addressed by them but who knows when they would get to it. I remember one keyboard that did that with the drawbars where it only engaged, so to speak, once it passed through the setting of that drawbar in the patch. I guess before playing a live set you may want to to the levels screen to see what it is set to and set your sliders accordingly.
