Recieved 700NX damaged? Or is this how it is...

Pushing the keys down, it feels like the keys don't go as far down as in previous models? Is this a feature of the new keybed, or could it be a sign of damage during shipment. I don't recall this when trying the board out in-store. Could it be that the keys are stiff at first, and then wear down? The box arrived partially opened, so I'm a bit suspicious about the condition of the board. I have not plugged it in yet.

when you push down the key, you should see about 8mm of wood near the tip of the adjacent key.

these boards are like tanks so it's probably okay.

my FG8 (PHA2) and RD700NX (PHA3) are very similar in stroke, but i think the PHA2 is slighly shallower.
